Our weekly 24hr Prayer Vigil starts tonight, so make it count and start living the life God created for you to have.

It’s time to pull out your sword (God’s Word).

Every day we should sharpen our swords and I‘m so glad you asked why…

KNOW HOW GOD THINKS & STOP SAYING, “if it’s God’s will”…

By reading His Word, we get to learn what God said and how He “thinks” which was written for our benefit. We don’t have to wonder what His will is because He made it available for us to know. Jesus, who is the Word of God Himself said, “man should not live on bread alone but by every Word that comes from the mouth of God”- (Mat. 4:4).

• The Word of God is ”THE“ tool God has given us for life. It is the very tool He gave us to fight whatever battles we may find ourselves in. NOTE: Just because He loves us, does “Not” mean He will automatically answer our prayers, even though He wants to.

• Remember, He is spirit so He operates in the realm of the spirit which means He will not violate His own M.O. (modus operandi) - the way He operates, unless…

GOD MADE A WAY…

That‘s why God sent His Word, to give us what we needed to become more than conquerors.

By praying His Word, we are operating in the spirit because those are words He spoke and since He said them and He is Spirit, that makes it legal for us.

• “His Word will not return back void” - (Isa. 55:11). This means, He’s looking for someone who will use His Word, preferably in relationship with Him. He’s no respector of people so, whoever uses His Word, He will honor. This is why so many companies in the past did very well. They used the principles written in scripture and gained from it. Even though God created His Word for believers, it is a tool that can be used by anyone...

⚠️ CAUTION: Using His Word without having a relationship with Him will draw you to what you can get from Him - Rather than developing a relationship with Him...

[This is one of the main reasons we don’t see growth in people’s lives, even after years of being a “Christian“ - they prefer the gifts instead of “The Giver” of those gifts. They’ll tell you how He provided food or rent, gave them a parking spot or constantly talk about the spiritual gifts they have.

Don‘t misunderstand…These aren’t necessarily bad, unless of course they take “His place”.

Overall, their walk reveals a lack of relationship - there’s no real change in their lives…

[If this is you, now is a great time to ask God for forgiveness and change your mindset to seek Him.  After all, He‘s waiting for you with arms wide open]

SPIRITUAL AUTHORITY…

His Word gives us legal rights/authority to operate in the spiritual realm. “Death and life are in the power of the tongue” - (Prov. 18:21a).

Most believers who been in the game long enough know this verse but do we really practice it?

• Even a joke, if it’s negative has the power to initiate or fulfill some type of death in your life:

It can destroy a dream or goal you’ve always had or even create a mindset that subconsciously doesn’t allow you to have the faith that you wish you did?

• Hey, I didn’t write the rules so don’t shoot the messenger but just imagine, how much we as believers could accomplish if we wholeheartedly followed this “one biblical principle”…I bet (metaphorically of course) we would see a ton of answered prayers, or less sickness, drama, hmmmm…I could go on and on right…?

• What are some things you’re guilty of saying that has had a negative impact on your life? Something we should all seriously consider.

• Let’s not forget the second half of the verse:

“they that love it shall eat its fruit“ - (18:21b) Love what? His Word, Jesus!!! If we really want to eat the fruit of His Word, we must love the Word. Besides, how can we not love Jesus after all He’s done for us? Yet, if we don’t know Him (via His Word) how can we honestly say we love Him? And if we don’t love Him, how can we enjoy the fruit (all His blessings/benefits) that He has readily available for us…?

God said, “My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge” - (Hosea 4:6). So simply knowing the Word is half the battle, the rest is using it and believing.

BEGIN TONIGHT…

So, as you prepare to pray during your agreed time, look up scripture that lines up with what you’re praying. Every week, Pastor Sabrina sends out the scripture that Pastor Sandra has prepared for you to pray into. Let that be your springboard and start there, and allow Holy Spirit to guide you the rest of the way.

• God is looking for His Word, coming from “you” to perform it. “He honors His Word above His name“ - (Ps. 138:2).
